Radical Cross
Joined to Jesus Christ, how can we be other than what he is? What he does, we do. Where he leads, we go. This is genuine Christianity! by A.W. Tozer
Dear Father,
I read this today and realized that I need to be joined to you. I know I am not joined to you like I should be simply because I do not do what you would do and I do not always go where you would go. I do not say what you would say and I do not live like you would live. Lord, I am learning to surrender to you and my spirit longs to live as you have called me to live. However, I realize that I am up against a giant and that giant is my flesh. I have fed it so much garbage over the past few years that it seems so hard to put away those foolish things of this world and surrender everything to you. This giant that must be crucified so that you may live in your rightful place.
I find myself looking in the mirror and asking myself “Are you a true follower of Jesus” I cant answer that question with a solid yes simply because I do not go where you would go, do what you would do or speak what you would speak. Father, as I dig deeper in your word, and as you dig deeper into my heart, I pray that you will continue to do the work that is need to transform me so that I am not a button or flower stuck on a lapel completely external. I do not want to look good on the outside, I want to look good on the inside as well. I want to be holy for you are holy. OH, Father, search me and know my heart test me and know my anxious thoughts and point out to me anything that offends you and lead me along the path of everlasting life. In Jesus Name I seal this prayer -Amen ~Jackie~

This is wonderful, Jackie, and greetings in the name of Jesus, from England. I will drop by again soon. If you get time, come and visit my blog. I am quite new to how this all works, too.
